Alberton City Car Park

The contract was awarded for a waterproof wearing coat to be applied to the top deck of the multi storey car park. After evaluating several proposals the Robex Protadeck Car Park Decking System was chosen.

The system comprises of a Primer applied by roller. An Elastomeric Membrane to provide waterproofing coat spray applied at 1mm thick. A further coat of the Elastomeric Membrane is spray applied at a nominal thickness of 0.5mm to hold the slip resistant aggregate. The loose aggregates are removed and a Coloured Sealer Coat is applied by roller to lock the aggregate in place. The system is a composite of the same materials each slightly modified to provide a functional part of the system.

This specification can be applied at a rate of 500m² per day and can be trafficked by vehicles within an hour.
