Roofs & Gutters

Leaking roofs and gutters

We only seem to remember the roof when it leaks.

Probably the most important asset of any business is the roof. The roof protects everything else that we have in our building. Without the roof the elements of the weather will be totally destructive.

It is foolhardy to think that the roof does not need any care and attention. It is equally fool hardy that the care and attention can be minimal. A roof and the gutters associated with that roof should be regularly inspected. A maintenance programme should be drawn up to include inspection, reporting and maintenance schedules. Even a new roof should begin its life with a maintenance programme in place.

You service your vehicles, your machinery, your equipment, including your computer and photocopier so why should your roof be any different. In fact it should be more special because it protects everything else.

Protecting the roof and gutters can range from a short term repair and overcoating programme that would have a lower budget maintenance plan through to a long term refurbishment programme that would require a larger financial investment. In many cases it is a combination of both, where the initial refurbishment or upgrading cost is supplemented annually with a lower cost maintenance budget.

A properly cared for roof requires the minimum of maintenance, requires a lower maintenance budget and avoids the risk of a deluge of water. Most importantly, proper maintenance means minimum disruption and that is a major cost saving.

Robex SA have a number of options and systems where we can meet the needs of the customer and the extent of their budget plan. The systems and procedures range from inspection and reporting through to the application of waterproofing systems including sound and thermal insulation systems.
