Seal Pool

North Wales

The seal pool in North Wales was constructed from a pored-in-place concrete base and concrete block walls covered with a sand and cement fairing coat to fill the holes in the blocks.

 Such a basic construction required a tough but flexible liner.

 5060, a Hybrid Polyurethane/Polyurea coating was spray applied at a nominal thickness of 2mm to provide a seamless watertight liner. The coating was applied in typical pool colours of beige for the sandy bottom and blue for the walls.

 This low cost construction, incorporating the high performance properties of 5060, proved to be the answer for a privately operated facility working on tight budgets for construction and maintenance. This pool will last for many years without the need for maintenance other than general cleaning.
