Pool Heat Pumps

A heat pump pool heater is so cost effective because it doesn’t use a current-gobbling element to heat up water. Instead it works by compressing gas within a closed-circuit. This creates heat which is then transferred to your pool via a heat exchanger. The unit can operate day or night as required. A choice of models is available to suit various pool sizes.

Solar Systems

The Nobel range of solar geysers are our Flagship solar systems. Nobel Hyperion solar systems are made of excellent materials, according to international specifications and have all certification and test results to confirm their quality. With the use of solar water heating systems energy savings of 70%-100% are achieved. The Hyperion Family comprises of 100lt, 150lt, 200lt, 250lt, 300lt and 500lt systems, flat plate, and indirect thermo siphon technology. An indirect system is a system that makes use of a heat exchanger which allows the transfer of heat from a transfer fluid (Glycol) indirectly to the potable water in the storage tank.

All products are manufactured in Europe, and have undergone vigorous research and development testing, ensuring all durability, safety and quality aspects have been maintained.

The Kwiksol systems are high quality systems designed for all residential applications, from low cost to high income housing.
Designed to be installed in all locations and where the water quality is good (less than 600 ppm total dissolved solids / minerals).

These systems can both be purchased in direct heating and indirect heating. For both, frost and non-frost areas.

A direct system is where the water to be used (hot water) is heated by means of solar radiation absorbed by the solar vacuum tubes and directly heats the water in the solar water heater.

If our clients require only panels to be fitted to their existing electric geyser, then we make use of a retrofit system for this application. This in short means fitting a solar collector (panel) to the existing electric geyser and using the sun instead of the electric element, also still keeping the element as a backup for cloudy days and high water usage situations.

In this configuration, where the existing geyser is either situated in the ceiling or somewhere along the outside of the house, we need to install a circulating pump as well as a control system such as the Geyser wise Max control system, which intelligently controls the heating by circulating the water when it reaches the required temperature differential.

This type of system is cost effective and easy to be installed. The negative side to such a system is that an additional controller and circulating pump has to be installed, thus preventative maintenance is very important.

Heat Pumps

It’s the new trend in water heating that’s fast gaining momentum in South Africa: heating your geyser by Heat Pump. Eco-friendly, an Alliance Heat Pump Water Heater cuts geyser heating costs by approximately two-thirds! Domestic Alliance Air units comfortably heat from 100 to 500 litres of water, while the largest Alliance commercial unit is 38kW, capable of heating 1000 litres/hour, day or night, rain or shine. Water temperature is adjustable by remote control from 40° to 60°.

• Apart from saving electricity, saving you money, and reducing the load on Eskom, most Alliance units also operate on R410A gas.
• Alliance water heaters are compact and easy to install, and are usually retro-fitted into existing geysers.
• A remote control allows you to heat water as pre-set times, including during off-peak, as well as letting you set desired hot water temperature to between 40°C and 60°C (70°C in integrated model).
• Available as either a fully integrated model with heater and geyser combined or as split versions with separate heater units.
