About Our Label Printing Company
Marmel Labels is a family-owned business, run by Narendra Daya and his wife Padmini (“Purdy”). Narendra and his father, Mr V Dayah, bought the business in June 1996. Marmel Labels is located in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
Marmel Labels was BEE Level 3 certified in 2006 with a current overall B-BBEE status of Level 1.
Marmel Labels is based in Crown Extension 6, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. The company has offices and a workshop where labels are designed, plates made in-house, labels printed and rewound.
Our label printing company has undergone a lot of growth in the last sixteen years. The biggest challenge was the relocation to larger premises in 2002. The move was conducted over four days (over a weekend), minimising the loss of production time.
Marmel is constantly investing in new equipment, machinery and technologies to broaden product range and to improve both efficiency and quality. Marmel installed a printing machine, Aquaflex ELS – eight colours in 2007 as well as the Rotoflex rewinder and die cutter. In 2008, Marmel Labels invested on the ESKO CDI 2530, a digital images, and the Nyloflex Combi F1 Super washout unit. We have an in house repro department to assist clients create their own label design. This allows us to provide faster service and deliver a high quality product efficiently.
