Hospitality

Logical Wireless provides a turnkey solution for the hospitality industry with regard to their connectivity requirements and guest networks. The guest network can be used to generate an additional revenue stream for the hotel or lodge by billing for internet access. The connectivity provided can also be used to make voice calls. Guests can make voice calls and be charged for these calls.

IP Infrastructure

The network that is required to run the guest internet facility will depend on the specific hotel. Logical Wireless uses a product that can be run over an existing TV network. It is called Logical Coax and requires no running of Ethernet cable. This means that deployment can take place quickly without any disruption for the guest. Where the installation does not require such an extensive network then ethernet cable is run.

Wireless Network

A wireless network can be installed in common areas or conference facilities. The wireless network would simply plug into the IP infrastructure implemented in the previous phase.

Billing

This is the value add for a hotel or lodge. As revenue is a key driver for any business how do you generate revenue from the internet network. Billing software is implemented, which only allows a person access to the internet if they have a voucher. There are two methods of purchasing a voucher. Vouchers can be sold by reception or through an online credit card purchase.

In addition there is a phone shop software that can also be used to bill for guest telephone calls. This will depend on the location of the Hotel or Lodge and would typically be for areas where cell phone reception is not available.
